Visit Fylde Coast would like to introduce you to Peter Skinner and ‘Peter’s Make Music Live – Busk 2018’
We first met Peter back in the mists of time when the clock shelter in Cleveleys was first being restored. He came along to Cleveleys Town Centre to hand over a very heavy bag of coins, the last collection from his last session with his former busking partner. It was a very kind gesture, one that we won’t forget.
Since then we’ve kept in touch through Facebook, and we’re delighted to be able to help Peter to tell people about his 2018 busking project.
Sadly, Pete has since passed away. But we keep this post in his memory.
Peter’s Make Music Live – Busk 2018
Throughout 2018, along with family and friends, Peter will be busking – ad lib and al fresco – around the Fylde Coast.
He’s doing it to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity. We’ve all been touched by cancer at some time, and we all know how hard it is to watch family, loved ones and friends with the illness.
He’ll be out and about playing his own brand of mainly folk style music, playing mainly in and around Lytham, St Annes, Cleveleys and Blackpool. And wherever the mood takes him! Visit Fylde Coast managed to catch him busking with two friends on the Plaza in Cleveleys on 23 May…

Busking in Cleveleys
Cleveleys Coastal Community Team are encouraging musicians and performers to busk in the town centre and on the performance area on the promenade.
It makes the place feel lively and welcoming! People enjoy it and will come to visit especially to see who is playing next.
