Website Help and User Guide

‘Visit Fylde Coast’ is a big digital media product and we don’t want you to miss anything!

We’ve got websites, social media pages and a weekly email newsletter.

They’re all linked together – but growing into a huge product- and we don’t want you to miss out!

About these sites

A range of interlinked websites covering the Fylde Coast.

There are sites for each of Fleetwood, Cleveleys, Poulton-le-Fylde, Blackpool, St Annes and Lytham.

Visit Fylde Coast is where you’ll find anything that’s general to the coast, plus topical and lifestyle material like gardening, cooking, pets, etc.

We publish – all about, yep, the Blackpool Illuminations!

And we have our own online shop where you can buy our own original photographs and paintings

Linked Websites

We know that you might like one of the Fylde Coast towns – or you might like them all!

Some parts of the websites are linked together so that you don’t miss anything (like the Events Calendar) and some are isolated to just that particular website (like pages about the seafront for example).

The black menu at the very top of the sites includes local businesses and services.

There’s a second grey menu under the site header full of editorial content, and business news too.

Section landing pages show you the latest updates.

Don’t forget to use the search  box – its probably the quickest way of finding what you want to know.

There’s also a Sitemap at the footer of each page, where you’ll find a no-frills list of all the pages on that site by section.

Events, meetings etc are listed on all of our websites.

Our events database also feeds the Radio Wave website.

A short batch of todays events appear on the homepage.

Submit your own community event by using the ‘Register your Event’ form.

You can also submit your event by emailing full details to

Events are searchable by date, meeting/event, or description.

Business can also list their events for a small fee – advertise here

Website Links

If we have covered your information or group, we’d love you to share the link on your own website or Facebook page.

We have ‘We’re On’ logos for each of our websites which we can send to you.

You are very welcome to create a link to one of our sites from your own business or group website. We can also provide a logo for you to link to.

We always appreciate links written into the text of your website. The most valuable ones to us are written words that makes sense which are linked to the web address (rather than linking to ‘click here’ because search engines don’t understand what that means).

So you might write ‘Take a look at the Visit Fleetwood Website’ and link that to the web address.

If you’d like any logos sending to you please get in touch – just email

How to advertise with Visit Fylde Coast

Your own dedicated business page is so much more than a faceless box ad which search engines can’t see.

Our advertising includes the use of social media/Facebook and Twitter, emails, the Events Calendar and so much more.

We don’t receive any funding to publish this product, so advertising revenue enables us to produce which is still the only product of it’s type that celebrates the whole of the Fylde Coast.
